General English

General English Courses include:

• Foundation English (elementary and pre-intermediate level)

• Advanced English (intermediate and upper-intermediate level)

These courses have been structured to include two levels in each course area to specifically support English learning needs for each student.

General English Courses have a teaching focus on the general English skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking at different levels from elementary to upper-intermediate.

These skills enable students to function well in an English speaking environment and provide English skills for work and travel. Students at Intermediate level and above have the opportunity to join the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course.
